DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY MEDICINE

1. A brief description of the department:

 

The Department of Veterinary Clinical medicine deals with the teaching and research in diffrent areas of clinical veterinary medicine and offers 9 Credit Hour Courses spread in two academic years (4th year 2nd semester and 5th year 1st semester) to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. students during the fourth and fifth year of the degree programme. From the academic session 2007-08, M.V.Sc. programmes in Veterinary Clinical Medicine has been introduced. The Deapartment is also offering supporting postgraduate courses for the M.V.Sc. degree programmes for the students of the other departments. The Department is having well-equipped laboratory facilities to impart best training to impart practical knowledge to the under graduate as well as the post-graduate students and to conduct advanced researches in the field of animal healthcare and extension activities. This department is also actively involved in undertaking clinical treatmentof all domestic and pet animals produced in the department.
